Facing the top side in MLS, Real Salt Lake was once again no match for LAFC.

RSL hung close with LAFC at the beginning, but it was clear who the better side was throughout the course of the match.

While the game was scoreless at the half, LAFC had the better chances and just couldn’t convert in front of goal.

Real had a handful of chances, tallying eight shots with five on target. LAFC however amassed 20 shots – nine on target – while winning the possession battle 56 to 44 percent.

LAFC was finally able to find a crack in RSL’s bend-don’t-break defense under five minutes into the second half. Ryan Hollingshead scored in the 49th for the lead, while Cristian Arango added the second goal in the 68th minute for the 2-0 LAFC win.
