Taking on NAIA member Antelope Valley, the Utah Valley Wolverines ran away with their fifth straight win on Friday night, 80-54.

Trey Woodbury led UVU with 17 points in the blowout victory, adding five assists.

Blaze Nield added 14 points and four steals for Utah Valley, who improved to 8-4 on the season.

The Wolverines’ defense harassed the Pioneers all night, as the visitors made just 38.3% of their shots (23-of-60), including just 22.2% (4-of-18) from behind the arc.

UVU also forced Antelope Valley to commit 20 turnovers in the game, which the offense then converted into 24 points on the other end.

The Wolverines now hit the road, looking to notch an upset win as they face Pac-12 member Oregon.

The matchup with the Ducks (7-5) will take place on Tuesday, December 20 at 8:30 p.m. MT and can be seen on the Pac-12 Networks.

Spencer is the founder of Stadium Sportzz and both the Sportzz with Spencer and Mountain States Sports Report podcasts. His experience extends to public address announcing, having first served as the PA announcer for Southern Utah University soccer in 2017 and as a high school sports PA announcer. He is now entering his fourth year as a PA announcer at Utah Tech University, where he also occasionally takes on the role of in-game emcee.
