Last week, the Southern Utah University women’s soccer program announced its finalized 2024 season schedule.

Following their first conference tournament berth in 15 years in 2023, the T-birds look to take the next step toward contention in a competitive Western Athletic Conference in 2024.

SUU will kick off the campaign with a Nevada road trip against Mountain West foes, first facing UNLV in Las Vegas on Thursday, Aug. 15 before traveling to Reno to battle the Nevada Wolf Pack on Sunday, Aug. 18.

After the first two matches, the Thunderbirds will return to Cedar City for the next four games.

SUU will open the home portion of the schedule on Thursday, Aug. 22 against last season’s Summit League Tournament runner-up Omaha. The T-birds then battle Eastern Washington of the Big Sky Conference on Thursday, Aug. 29 before facing Mountain West member Colorado College on Thursday, Sep. 5, and Summit League regular season champion Denver on Sunday, Sep. 8.

Southern Utah will then head to Idaho for a pair of matches. They will first face former Big Sky Conference foe Idaho State on Thursday, Sep. 12 before battling Boise State of the Mountain West on Sunday, Sep. 15.

The T-birds will then wrap up non-conference play against two more former Big Sky Conference rivals. SUU will host Sacramento State on Thursday, Sep. 19 before traveling to Flagstaff to battle Big Sky finalist Northern Arizona on Saturday, Sep. 21.

SUU then turns its attention to WAC play, which begins with a road contest at Cal Baptist on Saturday, Sep. 28.

The Thunderbirds then return home to host three straight conference opponents, first matching up with last season’s WAC Tournament runner-up, Seattle U on Thursday, Oct. 3. SUU will then battle in-state foe and 2023 WAC regular season champion Utah Valley on Sunday, Oct. 6 before facing 2023 WAC Tournament winner and NCAA participant Grand Canyon on Friday, Oct. 11.

Southern Utah ends the campaign with two games in Texas before returning home for the regular season finale.

The T-birds will first take on Abilene Christian on Thursday, Oct. 17 before closing the road schedule against Tarleton State on Sunday, Oct. 20. To finish the regular season, SUU then faces rival Utah Tech at home on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Should the Thunderbirds qualify for the WAC Tournament, the first matches will begin Monday, Nov. 3, with the final set for Saturday, Nov. 9.

All WAC matches on the schedule will be broadcast on ESPN+, while the details of TV and streaming options for non-conference matches will be announced at a later date.
