Hitting the road on Thursday night, SUU dropped its second straight match, losing to Seattle U 3-0.

The first set was close throughout, with the two teams knotted at 10 apiece through 20 points. Southern Utah appeared to gain the upper hand using a 4-0 run, but the Redhawks answered with five straight points to jump in front, 15-14. Neither team was able to break away, however, as the set was once again tied at 18 all through 36 points. Four points in a row from Seattle U put the home team ahead 22-18, but a 5-1 answer by the T-birds tied the score at 23. Both teams traded points to make it 24-24, but the Redhawks grabbed the final two points to win the set 26-24 and take a 1-0 match lead.

Set number two was tight much like the first, with Seattle jumping out to a 4-1 advantage. SUU responded by tallying five of the following six points to take the 6-5 lead, and after two straight Redhawks points the T-birds again got ahead with a 3-0 run to make it 9-7. Three straight points put Seattle back in front (10-9), but minutes later the match was even at 20 all. It was all Redhawks from there, as the home team used a 5-0 spurt to win the set 25-20 and take a 2-0 match advantage.

The third set was close to begin, with the teams tied at 8 early. Seattle then used a 6-1 spurt to get ahead 14-9, and SUU was unable to get much closer from there. The T-birds cut the deficit to four at one point (15-11), but the Redhawks closed out the set to win 25-18 and claim a 3-0 match sweep victory.

Teniyah Leuluai led the Southern Utah attack with 30 assists, while Andrea Spasojevic led the way in kills with 11.
