Playing the final game of a three-game road trip, Utah Valley came away with a tight win over Cal Baptist on Wednesday night, 71-67.

The win is the 11th in a row for UVU, but it was as difficult as any during the streak thus far.

Trailing by 11 in the first half, the Wolverines closed the opening frame on an 11-2 run to make the score 33-31.

The game was back-and-forth in half number two, and UVU trailed by two with 25.5 seconds left on the clock. Trey Woodbury stepped up for the visitors, nailing a step-back three with 13.5 seconds to go for the 67-66 lead.

The Wolverines were then able to close out the win with four made free throws in the final seconds.

Along with hitting the go-ahead bucket, Woodbury led all scorers in the game with 18 points while adding six assists and five rebounds.

Le’Tre Darthurd added 16 points in the win for UVU, while Justin Harmon and Tim Fuller chipped in 14 and 12 points, respectively.

Not only is the win an 11th straight for the Wolverines, but it also improves their mark in WAC play to 5-0.
